For Everyone Cutting and Sewing Face Masks

IMG_7667.JPG

While the Deaconess Hospital in Indiana (the original website we directed you to for making face masks) has enough masks at this time,  OUR AREA HOSPITALS AND HEALTH CARE FACILITIES ARE STILL IN NEED OF FACE MASKS.  So please keep cutting and sewing!  Use this video for instruction please.

ELASTIC UPDATE: I have ordered enough elastic to make 30,000 masks — but the shipment won’t be here until mid week at the earliest, at which time we will have to divide it and deliver to our many sewers (yes the response has been great).   But you don’t need to wait for it to sew.  You can use instead bias tape or any similar tie cut in 14 inch lengths, one inserted into each corner.  (Please avoid satin ribbon or ties that would slip easily.)  So production can continue without elastic until our big shipment arrives next week!!  Stay tuned for details about elastic distribution later in the week.
