A Difficult Decision

I am writing to share an important update regarding our much-anticipated delegation trip to Africa, which we had planned to embark upon this month.

After weighing the situation carefully and engaging in thorough discussions with many people, including a medical doctor experienced in Uganda, we have come to the difficult decision to postpone our visit due to the current Ebola outbreak. Our primary concern remains the safety and well-being of all involved—our delegates, partners, and the communities we cherish in Malawi, Uganda, and Kenya.

While we had been eagerly looking forward to reconnecting with our talented tailors, inspiring students, and dear friends, now is not the opportune moment for this visit. We are, however, committed to rescheduling this journey later in the year when it is safe to do so.

Though we carry a heavy heart with this decision, the commitment to our mission and our partners remains unwavering. We continue to support them and the vital work they do, with your generous support playing a pivotal role in these efforts.

Thank you to our community for your understanding and continued trust in our mission. Your dedication to improving the lives of women and girls is deeply appreciated, and we are grateful to have you as part of our community. We will keep you updated on our plans and look forward to sharing more about our work in Africa in due course.
